CANDIDATURE TYPE:
Maharashtra State Candidate:
Candidates who have passed SSC and HSC/Diploma in Engineering/Bachelor of Science from an educational institute in Maharashtra are eligible.
Or
Candidates who do not fall in the above category but his/her father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra and have a domicile certificate proving the same are eligible.
Candidates who do not fall in either of the categories above but either one of their parents is employed under the Government of India and is posted in Maharashtra and reports to the duty before the last date of submission of the application form for CAP, are eligible.
Or
Those who do not fall under any of the above-mentioned categories, if their parents are employed or retired employees of the Government of Maharashtra/Undertaking, they are also eligible.
Or
Candidates who cleared their class 12 board examination from one of the schools located in the disputed regions between Maharashtra & Karnataka and whose mother tongue is Marathi are also eligible.
All India Category:
All applicants who are permanent residents of India are eligible for the entrance test
Minority Candidates:
Candidates who belong to a specific Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from Maharashtra, as per the notification released by the Government of Maharashtra, can apply via this category.
Children of NRI/OCI/PIO or children of Indian workers employed in Gulf countries or Foreign National are exempted from appearing for MHT CET 2021 for admission
Academic Qualification:
Apart from the nationality and domicile criteria,
Candidates are also required to have qualified the academic qualifications required for admissions to the courses.
The academic qualifications for the test are as follows:
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 in the stream of science from a recognised board of education.
- It is important that the candidates have secured an aggregate score of 45% in the qualifying exam, with compulsory subjects like Physics and Chemistry with one other subject from Mathematics or Biology. Reserved category candidates from Maharashtra must have secured 40% aggregate score in the subjects mentioned above.
- Candidates should have secured a non-zero score in the CET exam conducted by the Competent Authority.
For All India Candidates:
Candidates should have secured a non-zero score in NEET or equivalent CET exam, in all the subjects. The preference would be reserved for those who have a valid score in NEET over any other CET exam.
